Hi! My Grandfather - Charewicz - too - from village Piaski - colony of Ziabki. His sister were deported to Siberia or somewhere in East. His Germans were deported to Bavaria in 1941-43, he returned to the western Poland in 1945.His another sister (Kazimiera? She died in 1989?) lived in Ziabki and had three daughters.One probably has been there.
My mother Wanda Subocz was from the village of Ziabki. She was taken to Siberia in 1939/40.
She was in Kazakhstan, Persia, India, Uganda and later to Canada where she lived till 1993. In Poland she left her mother and father and two sisters. She never returned.
It is possible I still have some relatives. Her father was a mechanical man who looked after the pumps for the railroad to pump water to the trains. I would be interested in any information that might still be available.
